JUST IN: Leeds United Boss with a fresh update on Willy Gnonto Amid Everton latest Update

Everton are said to be ‘willing to pay’ Leeds United’s asking price for Wilfried Gnonto.

According to Football Transfers, a deal is now very much on the table, but Leeds are continuing to ‘haggle’ about the fee.

Sky Sports claimed this morning that Everton had re-entered talks with Leeds over a deal for Gnonto, after it appeared that a move was all but dead.
The Toffees pulled out of the deal after Daniel Farke reintegrated Gnonto into the Leeds squad following the submission of a transfer request.

Everton had been looking at prospective replacements, including Gnonto’s Leeds teammate Luis Sinisterra, but the 19-year-old is now firmly back in their plans.

Everton is prepared to match Leeds’ Gnonto valuation.

According to Sky Sports, Leeds have already turned down four bids from Everton for Gnonto this summer, the most recent of which was £25 million.

Everton, on the other hand, are poised to lose both Alex Iwobi and Demarai Gray, raising the prospect of a new winger, despite having recently signed Jack Harrison from Leeds.
Leeds will probably require a substantial offer to consider moving Gnonto this late in the window, having stated throughout the summer that he is not for sale.

Gnonto’s contract at Elland Road has four years left on it and does not include a relegation release clause, putting Leeds in a good position.
