Axel Tuanzebe, a former Manchester United defender who departed the Premier League powerhouses at the beginning of July, might get another shot with Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town.
Axel Tuanzebe hasn’t yet resorted to the most ‘free-agent’ of strategies—social media videos of David de Gea working out alone are a nasty sight—but he understandably doesn’t want to spend any more time in football limbo.
After his contract with Manchester United expired two months ago, Tuanzebe was let free. He spent the majority of the summer training with Luton Town, but he has since been denied the chance to team up with Teden Mengi at Kenilworth Road.
For Tuanzebe’s benefit, a former United manager seems ready to sign the former Napoli and Aston Villa loanee.
Jose Mourinho, the former manager of Manchester United, and Axel Tuanzebe could reunite.
“I am familiar with Axel as a player. “He’s someone we’re talking to right now,” McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town and former assistant to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, told the East Anglian Daily Times.
“His (back) injury has not completely healed,” We’re communicating with him throughout the process as a result. There isn’t much else I can say at this time.
“Axel is a free agent and a good player who has played at a higher level. We have a space open on our squad. Any club would want to have him. a minimum of at this level.
Therefore, we are conversing with him and will continue to do so.
Ipswich Town are second in the Championship after a 3-2 win over Cardiff City on Saturday. A second consecutive promotion is not out of the question.
McKenna’s team has now won 17 out of their previous 20 league games.
