A video has emerged in which Theo Hernandez appears to challenge Stefano Pioli’s decision to take Ruben Loftus-Cheek off during the win over Roma.
The clip (seen below) depicts a perplexed Theo and Rafael Leao after learning of Loftus-Cheek’s withdrawal. The left-back even questions Pioli about why the Englishman has left, indicating that they need some strength in the middle of the field.
Pioli’s response, though, was that Loftus-Cheek was on a yellow card, so he sent him off, having witnessed what happened with Fikayo Tomori not long before.
