So far, eight senior players have left Leeds United on loan, with Marc Roca standing out at this early stage. Rasmus Kristensen, on the other hand, might be back in action by January if latest reports are correct.
Roca is making an impression with Betis in Spain, with his performance over the weekend being described as “remarkable.” Robin Koch and Max Wober are regular starters for Frankfurt and Gladbach. Diego Llorente is also a Roma player.
But things quickly worse. Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra have yet to make an appearance for either Everton or Bournemouth. Brenden Aaronson has already left Union Berlin, the team that signed Leonardo Bonucci.
Kristensen, the Danish celebrity, may be set to go even worse. The 25-year-old began the season’s first Serie A game, a 2-2 draw with Salernitana, as the team’s first choice. Display is average.
The second game was a 2-1 loss over Verona, and Milan traveled to Roma on Saturday. Kristensen was dropped and did not make the team. He is thought to be behind Zeki Celik and Rick Karsdorp.
He is already the third choice after only three games. But things are getting worse. According to Corriere Dello Sport in Italy, he may now be left out of Roma’s Europa League team. This month marks the start of the group stages.
If reports are correct, Kristensen might return to Leeds in January.
The Europa League is one of the main reasons Kristensen would have chosen Roma. However, it appears that he will not be granted that opportunity, having dropped far down the Roma pecking order.
So, having struggled to break into Roma’s starting XI in the League – and maybe out of the European squad – he may difficult to break back in. A return to Leeds in January may be necessary.
Certainly, if things remain as they appear to be, he may have to be recalled. Will he be able to return to Leeds? Most likely not. He has not featured for Leeds, so another loan is possible.
