Huge Boost as Deal Closed: Mansfield town now in Advance negotiation to land Free Agent to Bolster Squad

Nigel Clough, the manager of Mansfield Town, has stated that they would search the free agent market for more players.
Despite the fact that the transfer market closed last week, Mansfield Town wants to strengthen their team.
On deadline day, the Stags dropped out of an agreement for an anonymous loan signing, but they are still interested in acquiring more players to give their team more depth.

We did try for a loan, but we ran into a few issues with the club we were trying to get him from and just couldn’t quite get it through, according to Clough, who gave the Chad this transfer report. Therefore, we decided not to pursue that one.

We can focus on the few free agents that are still available that we spoke with before the window closed. One or two of those we contacted with said they were waiting to see if they received any better offers because they are now in a position to sign with anyone.

Mansfield continues to pursue signings
Mansfield may believe that they are still lacking in a few specific areas and that many players are still without a club at the moment.

The Nottinghamshire team has had a strong start to the new season, scoring 10 points in their first six games. They are unbeaten, sitting in seventh place in League Two, having won twice and drawn once.

Last time out, Clough’s team drew 0-0 with Bradford City at home. This weekend, they return to play with a trip to Accrington Stanley, hoping to maintain their momentum.
Mansfield had a busy transfer window and added eight new players. Christy Pym, the goalkeeper, was acquired permanently after spending the previous season on loan from Peterborough United.

 

In order to bolster their defense, the team added Aden Flint, Baily Cargill, Callum Macdonald, George Williams, and Aaron Lewis. Lewis Brunt, a loanee from Leicester City, joined the team to provide extra depth and competition in the middle of the field.

After Will Swan completed his loan from Premier League team Nottingham Forest, Clough was able to sign him permanently at the top of the field.
