Formal Manchester United star and Manager now in advance talks to land Birmingham city managerial role

Former England, Manchester United, and Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been tipped to win a Championship position.

Rooney is presently the manager of D.C United in America, although he wants to return to the UK and has been connected with the Birmingham City post.
Current Birmingham City manager John Eustace has been connected with a number of vacancies, with Rooney reported to be at the top of the list to take over at the Birmingham City Stadium.

Rooney’s last position in England was at Derby County, when he was ultimately responsible for the Rams’ relegation to League One.

Birmingham’s new American owners, Knighthead Capital, have already announced Tom Brady as a stakeholder, and the seven-time Super Bowl champion has already visited the club in which he has invested. According to reports, Rooney’s appointment would boost the club’s star power and profile following a busy summer transfer season.
