EXCLUSIVE NEWS: Club ready to insist on massive offer for superb CB from Liverpool.

According to the internet news source, the Hammers turned down the sale of Aguerd to Al-Ittihad in the summer. In spite of signing Stuttgart defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, they intend to add another defender in case the Moroccan international left.

Due to their participation in four competitions this season, including the Premier League and Europa League, the 25-year-old was acquired to strengthen David Moyes’ squad. Moyes wants a deep team to get through this challenging calendar.

Aguerd wouldn’t leave West Ham in the summer, but major teams are circling ahead of January, with Manchester City and Liverpool reportedly interested.

Aguerd wouldn’t leave West Ham in the summer, but major teams are circling ahead of January, with Manchester City and Liverpool reportedly interested.

West Ham won’t give up easily, though, as according to Football Insider, the London club will demand a ‘large’ sum of money in order to offload the Moroccan international this winter.

As Jurgen Klopp sought to strengthen his defence in the summer, the Reds were connected with a number of defenders, but they never formally expressed an interest in Aguerd or any other targets.

HUGE SUMS
Instead, following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch, the Merseysiders added four midfielders.

Senior players from Liverpool were lost, notably defender Nat Phillips, who transferred to Celtic on loan until January. He is now the club’s fifth-choice centre back, and Klopp is eager to buy a player who could challenge Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate for a starting position.

After making an impression at West Ham after transferring to London Stadium from Rennes in a £30 million deal in 2022, Aguerd has become a target for Liverpool.

He has made three appearances for West Ham this season, who have 10 points and are fourth in the Premier League table. He has developed a strong connection with Kurt Zouma.

The defender performed admirably at the 2022 World Cup after helping Morocco advance to the semifinals.
