BREAKING: Brentford boss Thomas Frank message to FA and PGMOL over poor officiating and Newcastle united Ball boys reactions

After Newcastle United were granted a match-winning penalty, Brentford manager Thomas Frank is seeking an apology from PGMOL chairman Howard Webb.

The Bees were defeated 1-0 at St James’ Park by Callum Wilson’s 64th-minute penalty, and Frank was irritated by the decision after being on the receiving end of a similar incident on their opening day 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
Anthony Gordon was brought down by goalie Mark Flekken’s challenge, and referee Craig Pawson directed to the spot. Frank believes the “mistake” lost his team at least a point.

“It requires character to come here and play — from us and from the ref in many ways,” Frank said in an emotional post-match press conference. We played a fairly even game and had a chance to win. That’s the extra frustrating part: it’s decided by an on-field decision over which we have no control. It’s so unusual that I complain about it because I think, ‘well, it’s human beings,’ and we all make mistakes. So that happens, but it’s even more frustrating when we lose as a result of it.

“We were told four weeks ago when Kevin Schade went through on goal against Tottenham and the goalkeeper took him out that ‘no, he pulled out before’ so we can’t give you a penalty.” Mark took out

“That is my opinion.” Gordon skilfully lets his leg hanging, and it is the linesman who gives it, and he needs to be completely certain if he wants to settle an even game between two teams that gave each other a magnificent game and fight. That means the VAR is powerless to intervene because there is no clear and evident failure. I’m sure Howard Webb will apologize and say, “Sorry, we made a mistake.”

After the Magpies’ No.9 was penalized for a foul on Flekken, Frank failed to address Wilson’s disallowed goal. Another penalty was given after Bryan Mbeumo handled a Harvey Barnes header, but Pawson altered his mind after consulting with the VAR monitor.

The Dane, on the other hand, was not done. Neal Maupay attempted to retrieve the ball from the ball boy, who tossed it over his head towards Kieran Trippier as the Bees sought an equalizer.

“I think with all these new rules where they add time, if the ball boys don’t want to give the ball back, I think it should be an extra minute,” Frank stated unprompted after the journalists finished questioning him. I only want to mention something to the ref.”
