AC Milan has reportedly approached Chelsea about signing striker Armando Broja.
According to Fichajes, the Blues are desperate to maintain hold of the Albanian striker despite AC Milan’s significant interest in luring him away from Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.
Broja, 22, has had a string of bad luck with injuries recently. The striker tore a cruciate ligament in his right knee during a pre-season friendly against Aston Villa at the end of last year and hasn’t played professionally since.
However, according to a recent Evening Standard story, the 22-year-old is on the mend and should return to first-team action shortly.
As a result, Broja will be competing with the likes of Nicolas Jackson in the Blues’ matchday squads, seeking to change Mauricio Pochettino’s mind as he starts on possibly the most difficult job of his career.
Prior to his nearly year-long absence, Broja, who has 17 senior international caps, scored one goal and assisted on another in his first 19 outings for Chelsea.
