According to David Wagner, the manager of Norwich City, Leicester City will win the Championship.
The Foxes defeated Wagner’s Norwich 2-0 on Wednesday night to make it six victories in their first seven league games. For Enzo Maresca’s team, Kasey McAteer and Kelechi Iheanacho both scored from the penalty spot.
They are currently in second place, one point back of the early leaders Preston, in the standings. And Wagner is unwavering in his belief that City will end the season as winners and join the Premier League right away.
Wagner stated, “I am fine with the performance; it was top notch. We are obviously disappointed to lose. “I am disappointed that we turned the ball over twice before the penalty, but aside from that, I am extremely impressed with the way we played.
“We created three or four pretty good opportunities in the second half as the better team, but sadly we lacked the finishing touch. We move on because the guys gave it their all, never gave up, and ultimately lost against a strong team.
“I believe Leicester will finish first this season, with the other teams vying for the remaining slots. Although it’s hard to accept, I have complete faith in these players moving forward.
