Everton is interested in which former Premier League player?
Everton are interested in former Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj, who is currently playing for Sevilla, according to a report from Spain [via Caught Offside]. The 28-year-old joined Real Sociedad from La Liga last year, but he might leave quickly.

With playing time at his present club limited, Dyche’s side could offer him a route out in the near future as he attempts to kickstart his career after being such a highly-rated young player during his United days. Granted, Januzaj’s difficulties in recent years mean that Everton fans may not be overjoyed with this news, but he is clearly a footballer with natural skill, having once played for Manchester United.

Still only 28 years old, the Belgian should be nearing the prime of his career, and while it appears evident that he will never surpass his past potential, he could be worth a gamble for Everton. This is still a 15-cap Belgium international with a combined 209 Premier League and La Liga appearances, generating 42 goal contributions (20 goals and 22 assists) in those tournaments – proving genuine pedigree at the top level.

A loan move to Everton in January may make the most sense, as it reduces the risk if he fails to impress at Goodison Park, and Sevilla may gladly sanction such a transaction if they don’t see him as a key player in the future. If he performs well for the Blues, a possible permanent move could be addressed at the end of the season.
