According to a source, AC Milan are not a likely destination for Borussia Dortmund attacker Giovanni Reyna.
A report from Spain earlier this week stated Milan are planning a January deal for Reyna, who may seek a fresh start abroad after battling with injuries at Dortmund.
However, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano (via Goal), the 20-year-old’s next destination is more likely to be a Premier League team rather than rejoining Christian Pulisic in Serie A.
“I don’t have any confirmation at the moment.” I inquired about it. But I doubt Milan will pursue such a dynamic player in that position during the January transfer window.
“I’m also not sure this is what Gio Reyna requires,” Romano remarked.
“Perhaps something in England.” That, I believe, would be ideal for him. Something like Brentford or Brighton, where coaches play offensive, quality football, and he’s perfectly perfect.”
Reyna has been out with a knee injury since June, preventing him from making a single game for Dortmund this season, but he is set to return shortly and could possibly play against Milan in the Champions League next week.
