Milan are looking for a new striker to replace the aging Olivier Giroud and have their sights set on Lille’s Jonathan David.
According to Daniele Longo, Jonathan David will leave Ligue 1 side Lille in the next transfer window because his current contract expires in 2024 and he has dropped any conversations about a possible extension with the club. Milan is keeping a close eye on the Canadian forward’s situation and will try to sign him during the January transfer window.
Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani has great relationships with Les Dogues and is set to use them to sign the 23-year-old.
Milan added a slew of new faces to their roster over the summer and are seeing the expected benefits. The team, however, is in need of a striker because the 37-year-old Olivier Giroud’s performances cannot be relied on for every encounter.
