JUST IN: Erling Haaland has an 18-word message for Manchester City fans after struggles in Wolves defeat

Manchester City were defeated 2-1 by Wolves at Molineux, and Erling Haaland had a rough day at work.
On Saturday, the 23-year-old was almost unnoticed.
It is not uncommon for Haaland to be on the outskirts of games.

He can play quietly and still score two or three goals per game.
But he was completely destroyed by Craig Dawson, Max Kilman, and Toti Gomes versus Wolves. Pep Guardiola confirmed this following the game.
The Norwegian just couldn’t get enough of it.
Gary O’Neil’s team deserves credit. They defended incredibly well, making it difficult for City to produce quality chances.

Haaland was frustrated, but yesterday he issued a defiant statement on social media…

After battling in Wolves’ defeat, Erling Haaland sends a message to Manchester City fans on Instagram. Haaland did not post on Saturday evening. He was probably eager to observe a little period of introspection.
He was completely silent against Wanderers, and he had to be terribly frustrated.

However, Haaland broke his quiet on Sunday, sending a message to City fans via his Instagram account.

“Always grateful for your support,” he wrote. We’ll take what we learned from yesterday and perform better the following time.”

This season, Haaland has received considerable criticism.

The striker has passed up numerous opportunities.

Despite this, he has scored eight goals in his seven Premier League outings.

Haaland will use Wolves’ angst as fuel.
Wolves marshalled Haaland quite well on Saturday, and he was presumably very irritated about it after the game.

Haaland, who has been rather wasteful in recent games, will have been hoping to score a pair against Wanderers.

But he simply did not have the opportunities.

But everyone is aware of his thinking.

He will be adamant about making a comeback. And he’ll get his chance against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
