According to reports, AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli has finalised his selection decisions for tonight’s game against Borussia Dortmund.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan squad has strong morale and confidence ahead of a game against a Dortmund side that could be the Rossoneri’s main rival for second place.
The 81,000 supporters at Signal Iduna Park and the renowned ‘Yellow Wall’ will cheer them on. Stefano Pioli wants a team that is physically and mentally prepared for combat, thus the match preparations took this approach.
Yunus Musah will anchor Milan’s three-man midfield since he knows it better than Tijjani Reijnders, who almost always plays in that position for the US.
Pioli does not want to limit Reijnders’ influence, who will be free to occupy as much space in the middle of the pitch as possible, with Tommaso Pobega on the right of the three providing physicality and runs towards the opponent’s penalty area.
Yacine Adli’s wait for his first Champions League start continues, albeit he could come off the bench. As previously said, Pioli felt it was vital to play his most physical midfield three, therefore the Franco-Algerian sits out.
