AC Milan are set to sign a new left-back ahead of next season, and the club’s administration has already begun the process. According to reports, Real Betis teenager Juan Miranda is the main target.
Without counting the youngster Davide Bartesaghi, Theo Hernandez is Milan’s only left-back right now, and that cannot continue next season. According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have set their sights on Miranda.
The 23-year-old’s Real Betis contract will expire in the summer, and Milan have arranged additional meetings with his entourage in the coming weeks to assess the situation. But it’s not an easy assignment, not just since a renewal is still possible, but also because of the competition.
Alessandro Florenzi will most likely start at left back for Milan against Juventus. Bartesaghi has had a couple of appearances this season, but it may not be advisable to give the 17-year-old his first start in such a huge game. Of course, a three-man backline is another option.
