BID CONFIRMED: Brentford are set to beat Burnley after matching the club £15m asking price for top striker.

Sunderland will demand more than £15 million for talented winger Jack Clarke, according to Football Insider.

Despite heavy interest from Premier League newcomers Burnley, the Black Cats kept Clarke, 22, in the summer window.

The winger is garnering interest from the Clarets and fellow Premier League club Brentford, according to Football Insider, ahead of the January transfer window.
His impressive early-season showing has aroused the interest of top-tier clubs once again.

Sunderland, on the other hand, believes they are in a great position to demand a top-tier fee for Clarke, who is under contract at the Stadium of Light until 2026.

Tony Mowbray’s team are looking to make a big profit on the winger after purchasing him for a low fee.

Clarke has seven goals in 12 appearances in all competitions, helping Sunderland to fourth place in the Championship.

The Black Cats are expecting interest in the ex-Leeds striker in the January transfer window.

After first signing on loan, the 22-year-old won a permanent move to the Stadium of Light, where he scored 11 goals and assisted 14 times as Sunderland reached the second-tier play-offs last season.

Clarke’s most recent stint in the Premier League was with Tottenham, where he made just four appearances after joining from Leeds for a rumored cost of roughly £10 million in 2019.

Brentford and Burnley are now in the bottom half of the Premier League table, with seven and four points, respectively.

Despite a 4-0 defeat at home to local rivals Middlesbrough on Saturday (7 October), Sunderland are fourth in the Championship.
