HUGE UPDATE: Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson’s fresh update on Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze injury

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson believes his team really needs Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze as the season progresses.

Michael Olise is still recovering from an injury sustained while playing for France’s under-21 squad, while Eberechi is now anticipated to be out for up to six weeks due to a hamstring ailment.
Jefferson Lerma, Dean Henderson, Naouirou Ahamada, Joel Ward, Cheick Doucoure, and Matheus Franca are among the players struggling for fitness ahead of games against Newcastle, Tottenham, and Burnley.
Despite the hurdles, the Eagles are unbeaten in their previous three league games, and manager Hodgson thinks they would be better if the duo were fit.

“The two we want back more than any other are the two creative players that we have and made such a difference in the 10 games I had with the team when I came back last year,” he says, according to the South London newspaper.

“Our 10-game winning streak was heavily reliant on the form of Olise, who has yet to kick a ball for us and we’re already in mid-October.”

“And now Eberechi Eze has a serious injury.” I won’t be able to look at things as optimistically until those two get back into shape, which will take some time.”
