According to Italian media reports, AC Milan is interested in Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof.
Outlet According to MilanWeb, the Rossoneri are preparing to say farewell to Simon Kjaer, whose contract expires at the end of the season and is unlikely to be renewed.
Looking for a replacement, the Serie A heavyweights are thought to be keeping an eye on Lindelof, whose status at Manchester United qualifies him for a summer switch.
The first reason is that the Sweden international hasn’t been getting much playing time because he’s a backup option for either Raphael Varane or Lisandro Martinez are injured.
Then there’s the fact that Lindelof’s Manchester United contract expires at the end of the season, despite the fact that the Red Devils have the option to extend it for another year.
Milan’s first thought was to sign him as a free agent. If Erik ten Hag’s team does activate the clause, the Rossoneri will make an offer of €15 million, which ‘would convince’ the Premier League club to sell.
