JUST IN: AC Milan ready bid for Top-Notch Bundesliga Talent who was Paolo Maldini striker top target

Following a blazing start to life in Germany, RB Leipzig’s star-in-the-making Benjamin Sesko remains a profile keenly studied by Milan. According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old striker as they continue their search for Olivier Giroud’s long-term replacement.

Last summer, Milan contacted the Red Bull company. The Italians discussed the prospect of promoting Sesko to Serie A. But it wasn’t to be, as the Slovenian international had already agreed to follow the traditional path and switch Salzburg for Leipzig.

The club’s interest in the highly touted teenager has cooled since Paolo Maldini departed Milan. Meanwhile, Sesko’s early Bundesliga career has been a resounding success. In ten appearances, he has scored five goals.

Sesko has continued to rip opposition defenses apart while on international duty with Slovenia. He scored a match-winning double as his team defeated Finland 3-0 on Saturday, putting them one step closer to qualifying for Euro 2024.

Sesko’s outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed. Milan are once again considering anointing him Giroud’s heir. However, the Italians’ chances of reaching an agreement remain slim. The teenage striker’s price tag has already surpassed the €45 million mark.

In addition, Milan would have to compete with Arsenal and Chelsea for his talents. Another interesting youngster being pursued by Stefano Pioli’s side is Bologna sensation Joshua Zirkzee. His arrival appears to be far more likely.
