Serginho feels that AC Milan will sign a’strong Brazilian’ player soon, given that they haven’t had one of the very best for a long time.
Serginho was questioned by the press present, including TMW correspondents, on the sidelines of the Trento Sports Festival, where he discussed the Rossoneri’s start to the 2023-24 season thus far.
“I believe Milan started the season very well; we had a setback against Inter, but you can see that they’re playing well.” “It’s a young group, but it has the potential to grow into a strong team,” he remarked.
Milan’s own connection with Brazilian players has recently been more up than down. Messias did make some important contributions, notably the Scudetto season, but others, such as Rodrigo Ely and Lucas Paqueta, underperformed.
The former midfielder and full-back was questioned why there are so few Brazilians in Italy nowadays compared to when Dida, Thiago Silva, Cafu, and Kaka used to decide games on the biggest platforms.
“The Brazilian fairytale has come to an end… We haven’t had it in a long time; Messi was at Milan. It is a time when Brazilian football is recuperating, and it is unclear who has true quality. “I believe that a strong Brazilian will arrive in Milan sooner or later.”
