TEAMtalk understands that Crystal Palace are not in a haste to trade the 23-year-old or Joachim Andersen, but are looking into prospective replacements in case one of the pair leaves Selhurst Park.

Pacho is one name on Dougie Freedman’s radar.

The Ecuador international joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Royal Antwerp in an £8 million transfer in June.

Pacho has done so well in Germany that TEAMtalk believes the Bundesliga club now values him at £35 million.

Crystal Palace are thought to be looking at reinforcements in the German market in particular, while Everton and West Ham are also keeping an eye on the South American center-back.

Crystal Palace fans should be encouraged by the William Pacho speculation.

Nobody at Selhurst Park wants to even think about losing Guehi or Andersen because they are that good.

However, it should reassure enthusiasts that replacements are already in the works.

Under Steve Parish, we have frequently lost a vital player with no fast substitute available.
For example, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was allowed to go for Manchester United in July 2019, and Roy Hodgson is still relying on Joel Ward, at 33, at right back.

While losing Guehi or Andersen would be devastating for the Eagles, it is encouraging to see that several extremely skilled defenders are being considered in case one of the key duo departs.
