HUGE CRITICS: Richard Dunne says £86m player Man City want to sign is even better than Erling Haaland

Richard Dunne praised Harry Kane last night after he scored two goals for England against Italy, calling him a greater striker than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

England qualified for the Euro 2024 finals with a 3-1 victory over Italy at Wembley Stadium.
England fell behind early on thanks to a goal from Gianluca Scamacca.

Kane, however, equalized from the penalty spot.

Marcus Rashford then put England in front after a fantastic breakaway spearheaded by Jude Bellingham.

Kane subsequently scored his second and England’s third goals, thus ending the game.

Former City defender Dunne was left speechless by the Three Lions captain’s performance…

Richard Dunne believes Harry Kane is better than Erling Haaland Kane has received a lot of acclaim after his performance last night.
England’s key man delivered a clutch performance, and Dunne was blown away by the 30-year-old.

He even went so far as to say Kane is a better striker than City’s Haaland.

“They’re not the same team if he’s not in the XI,” he stated (Virgin Media Sport). He is simply one of the best strikers in the world. For what he provides to the squad, he is probably the best number nine in the world, even better than Haaland.

“His participation in the side. He gives players like Rashford and Bellingham the freedom to do anything they want.

“England won’t have a chance of winning the Euros if Harry Kane is not in it (the team).”

City preferred Harry Kane over Erling Haaland.

Dunne makes some fascinating comments on Kane.

Of course, City famously attempted to buy Kane in the summer of 2021, and the player even went on strike at Tottenham Hotspur in the hopes of completing the transfer.

Daniel Levy eventually dug in his heels and was able to maintain his talisman for another two years.
It is questionable if Kane, who joined Bayern Munich for an initial fee of £86 million this summer, is a superior striker than Haaland.

He would have scored a lot more goals for City if he had signed. But, given what Haaland has done since joining the team, City will have no regrets.

The goal total of Haaland speaks for itself. But Kane is undeniably the best.
