AC Milan appeared to be able to come through the international break with some players recovered and no new injuries, but they suddenly have a long list of absentees for their game against Juventus.
According to MilanNews, Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez were ruled out of the Juventus game before the break. The former received a red card in the win against Genoa, while the latter received a yellow card, bringing him to the five-game suspension level.
Milan revealed earlier today that Marco Sportiello has a calf injury on his left leg. The goalie will be required to rest for ten days before the evolution of his condition is assessed with a new MRI.
The club confirmed yesterday that Samuel Chukwueze returned early from Nigeria duty with a hamstring injury and would be sidelined for a month.
Their names are added to a list that already includes Mattia Caldara and Ismael Bennacer, who are recovering from surgery.
The availability of Pierre Kalulu, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Rade Krunic is still in doubt, although there is hope that they will be on the bench.
