Dan Campbell provides an update on Kerby Joseph, Mohamed Ibrahim, and Marvin Jones Jr.’s injuries.
The Detroit Lions were humiliated 38-6 by the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but the game was not the only thing the Lions lost, as Kerby Joseph and Mohamed Ibrahim were both injured. Campbell spoke with reporters on Monday and provided an update on each of those players.
What Campbell Had to Say About Kerby Joseph
First, the good news: everyone is safe. Kerby Joseph has passed concussion tests and will be available in Week 8. The Lions are relieved, as Joseph’s role is critical in their defensive lineup.
What Campbell Had to Say About Mohamed
Mohamed Ibrahim, who had a dislocated hip, underwent successful surgery, according to Campbell. While his comeback to football may be delayed due to the pain, the fact that he can move his hip is positive.
“All they had to do was put him under to get the hip back in, which it did.” It’s fine. So he’s clearly moving around. “That’s great news,” Campbell stated.
“It’ll take a while, and there’ll still be a lot of pain.” But at the very least, he can move that hip.”
Conclusion – Good and Bad News
It’s evident that Kerby Joseph avoided a concussion, but it’s unfortunate that Mohamed Ibrahim, who dislocated his hip, will be out for a lengthy period of time. Having said that, our thoughts and prayers are with him for a complete recovery.
