JUST IN: Rams HC Sean McVay breaks silence on Matthew Stafford’s thumb injury with concerning update

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams were completely destroyed by the Dallas Cowboys, and to make matters worse, Matthew Stafford departed the game early due to injury. Now, head coach Sean McVay is speaking out about his experienced quarterback.
According to team writer Stu Jackson, McVay claims the injury occurred during the Rams’ two-point conversion catch. Nobody knew how serious Matthew Stafford’s injuries was at the time.

“Sean McVay stated that he has no further information on Matthew Stafford’s thumb injury.” He doesn’t want to guess until he receives further information. McVay stated that the injury occurred during the 2-point conversion catch.”

However, following the original injury, things have altered. According to J.B. Long of ESPN Los Angeles, it’s unclear how serious the situation is, but McVay doesn’t seem confident.

“It doesn’t seem like it’s good, but we’ll wait for full clarification…”
Stafford will be closely monitored by the Rams in the coming days. Depending on the severity of the thumb injury, Los Angeles could be without their starting quarterback for several weeks. Based on McVay’s reaction, Los Angeles fans should brace themselves for the worst.

On Sunday, Matthew Stafford struggled against the Cowboys, throwing for only 162 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. After Dallas took a commanding 33-9 lead at halftime, Los Angeles struggled to regain control of the game.

Los Angeles’ next opponent is the Green Bay Packers. Matthew Stafford’s thumb injury should not be too significant, and he should be available in Week 9. If not, the Rams may have a difficult road ahead of them.
