Milan previously pursued Benjamin Sesko, and his interest hasn’t waned, as he’s reportedly one of their top targets for next summer. Elvis Basanovic, his agent, spoke to Sportitalia.
“I can confirm that I spoke with Milan about Sesko while Paolo Maldini was in charge.” His transfer, however, was not possible at the time. It was not the right time. You never know what may occur in the future. They are an excellent club. Sesko is very happy at RB Leipzig, where he is continuing to develop.”
According to Calciomercato, finding a young center-forward has become the top priority for the Rossoneri. Milan is interested in four of the five candidates, including Sesko.
This season, the striker has six goals in 12 appearances. The legend met Basanovic in 2022 when he was at RB Salzburg, but the deal didn’t come to fruition.
To sign him in 2024, the Rossoneri would have to spend significantly more than in the past. His cost has easily doubled. The Bundesliga club is seeking at least €45/50 million.
