The Newcastle Knights are pleased to announce that Ronald Griffiths will coach the Club’s NSW Cup team in 2024.
Griffiths has stepped down as head coach of the Knights’ female programs, which featured back-to-back NRLW titles in 2022-23, to concentrate on full-time coaching in the NSW Cup.
Peter Parr, Director of Football at the Newcastle Knights, remarked about the appointment.
“After lengthy discussions with Ronald we decided this outcome was the best for all parties,” Parr went on to say.
“Ronald has done an outstanding job as NRLW Head Coach, and we felt coaching NSW Cup was the next phase in his coaching career.”
Griffiths reflected on his time working with the female programs and expressed his excitement about the Knights’ future.
“Coaching NSW Cup will be an exciting opportunity for me; I will relish the opportunity to connect with local league clubs and continue my personal development,” Griffiths said.
“The Knights have given me the opportunity to be a part of a history-making NRLW team; I will be eternally grateful for those opportunities and the memories made.”
“I would like to thank our players, supporters, sponsors and families who have been with us along this NRLW journey.”
