Former Celtics center Robert Williams potentially out for season due to knee injury
Robert Williams keeps getting the hard breaks. He was traded by the Celtics before the season, and he will require knee surgery once more. And if it’s fixed with his long-term health in mind, he might miss two to three months of play, or the entire season, if they just “clean up.”
During the second half of the 2021–22 season, Williams underwent one of those clean-up surgeries. When the Celtics advanced to the NBA Finals that season, he made a comeback during the postseason. Williams will likely miss the entire season because the Blazers are rebuilding, but at least this will allow him to be healthy going forward.
