HUGE REACTION: NFL World strong reaction to RAMS new additional firepower signing of QB in Matthew Stafford Back up

The Los Angeles Rams have added some firepower to their quarterback room.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Rams will sign veteran free agent Carson Wentz on Tuesday, November 7.

After watching the Rams struggle offensively in their 20-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, the decision was made. Matthew Stafford missed the game due to a UCL sprain in his thumb, and Brett Rypien struggled. Los Angeles only managed 10 first downs and 187 total yards.
In the process, the Rams released rookie Dresser Winn to make room for Wentz, who won Super Bowl 52 with the Philadelphia Eagles. Following the signing, he and the Rams received strong reactions.

Carson Wentz’s ‘Career Resurgence’ Predicted by One Fan
Is Wentz, who is now on his fourth NFL team, set for a comeback? One fan appears to think so.

“Carson Wentz career resurgence incoming,” said one Rams fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Another fan predicted that “revenge season” has begun for the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Another fan thought the Rams made the decision after seeing Rypien’s performance.
“They saw how bad Brett Rypien played against the Packers and figured it was time to sign another quarterback in the absence of Matthew Stafford,” a fan on X.M. said.

Stafford’s condition, however, is thought to be worse than previously thought.

“The signing could mean that Matthew Stafford’s thumb injury will force him to miss more games,” Sports Illustrated tweeted.

Can Wentz be resurrected under Sean McVay’s tutelage? A Look Back at Previous Rams QBs
The Rams have been struggling recently. They’ve gone 8-18 since winning Super Bowl 56.

Head coach Sean McVay, on the other hand, has been credited with revitalizing quarterback careers. That could be a good omen for Wentz.

Prior to McVay’s arrival, Jared Goff was 0-7 as a starter. Under McVay, Goff compiled a 42-20 record. In the process, Goff was named to two Pro Bowls. Goff also threw 32 touchdown passes in 2018, which is a career high for him.

Stafford, on the other hand, had his first 41-touchdown season since 2011 in his first year with McVay. In addition, the former Detroit Lions quarterback won his first playoff game under McVay. Of course, Stafford’s daring trade resulted in a Super Bowl ring.

Baker Mayfield experienced rejuvenation during his brief stay in Los Angeles. Mayfield helped the Rams snap a six-game losing streak after being released by the Carolina Panthers. He then finished with a 63.6% completion percentage, an improvement over his 57.8% with the Panthers. Mayfield also improved in just four games with the Rams.

Could Wentz see immediate action against the Seattle Seahawks on November 19? If the Rams put him on the field, he has a chance to improve his own numbers. While with the Washington Commanders, Wentz settled for a 62.3% completion percentage in 2022. He also threw 11 touchdown passes, a career low.

In his seven-year NFL career, Wentz has thrown for 3,000 yards or more five times. However, in his last three seasons, he has only had one 3,000-yard season. During his one season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2021, he threw for 3,563 yards.
