BREAKING NEWS: Tigers show the door to rugby league icon

Ronnie Palmer, a rugby league legend, has revealed that he is feeling “quite a bit lost” after being let go by the Wests Tigers.

The Tigers informed Palmer on Friday, and it’s safe to say the former Tigers trainer was taken aback.

“I feel quite a bit lost,” Palmer told the Daily Telegraph.

“This is the first time I’ve been in this situation since I was 21.

“The Tigers informed me that they would not be renewing my contract. Things happen, and you must move on.

“I’m a little disappointed, but you have to accept these things and move on.” There will be no sour grapes here.”

Palmer, a former Tiger, played 35 games for Balmain in the 1970s, not long after becoming the competition’s most recognizable trainer.

For the time being, he’s put his hand up and stated that he still has plenty to offer the game.

“I know that I have a lot to offer,” Palmer said.

“I’d still like to be involved.” It becomes more difficult. They shuffle you along as you get older.

“The old horse is grazing in the long yard.” I know I have a lot to offer. You just need to persuade a club of that.”
