The unexpected way Raptors’ OG Anunoby sustained a finger injury
Raptors star OG Anunoby reportedly suffered a finger laceration while doing household chores prior to Toronto’s game against the Wizards.
Due to a finger injury, Toronto Raptors star OG Anunoby will miss Monday’s game against the Washington Wizards. Anunoby reportedly sustained the injury, described as a finger laceration, while performing household chores, according to ClutchPoints.
The Raptors come into Monday’s game with a 4-5 record. However, the Wizards have only two wins this season. Neither team is particularly strong, but Toronto has the advantage at home.
Anunoby’s presence, on the other hand, will be sorely missed.
OG Anunoby is out against the Wizards.
The 26-year-old is averaging 16.4 points per game while shooting 51 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from three. Because Anunoby is a dependable player, Toronto’s entire roster will have to step up in his absence.
Anunoby has been a reliable player for the Raptors in recent years. Over the last two seasons, he’s averaged around 17 points per game while posting respectable field goal and three-point percentages.
The 2023-24 season of the Toronto Raptors
The Raptors are having a disappointing season. Recently, they were defeated by the talented Boston Celtics. They had previously defeated the scorching hot Dallas Mavericks.
This Toronto team is at best a fringe contender, but they have enough upside to surprise really good teams in a variety of games. The team’s inconsistency is obviously a problem. It will be interesting to see how they perform without one of their best players on Monday.
In this home game against Washington on Monday evening, Toronto will look to get back into the win column. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST.
