SAD NEWS: Canterbury Bulldogs trade to target ex-Catalans Dragons prop failed medical after contract agreement

Prop Siosiua Taukeiaho of the CATALANS DRAGONS has failed a medical exam that would have allowed him to sign a contract with the Canterbury Bulldogs of the NRL.

After just one season, Taukeiaho was mutually released by the French club, giving the Tonga international the opportunity to pursue a more local opportunity.

The early departure of the former Sydney Roosters prop from Catalans was justified by his desire to spend more time with his family. A move to Canterbury is largely anticipated to occur in 2024.

Nevertheless, Channel 9 revealed this morning that Taukeiaho failed the Bulldogs’ physical, which would prevent him from playing in the 2024 season opener.
