Ohio State football is preparing for its most important game of the season, as the Buckeyes will face the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor this Saturday for a ticket to the Big Ten championship game.
Not to mention that both teams’ chances of making the College Football Playoff are on the line. Ohio State football coach Ryan Day understands that his players are feeling a range of emotions as they prepare for a big game against a bitter rival, and it is his job to keep those emotions in check.
“I think the first step is to talk to them about it… “Just keep your emotions in check and don’t let distractions get in the way of your work,” Day said on 97.1 The Fan’s Buckeye Roundtable (h/t ElevenWarriors.com).
The Buckeyes are undefeated this season, having won 11 straight games, including eight victories over Big Ten opponents. Michigan football also has an undefeated record, but Jim Harbaugh will not be on the sidelines for Saturday’s big game due to a suspension.
The last time these two teams met on the field, Michigan won 45-23 at home in 2022.
With or without Harbaugh, the game between Ohio State and Michigan will draw a lot of attention, as it always does, and Day is confident that his team can win in hostile territory.
