Rangers manager Philippe Clement has confirmed that Ryan Jack will miss Thursday’s Europa League match against Aris Limassol.
Rangers take on the Cypriots knowing that a win will guarantee them a place in the next round, but a draw may also suffice if Real Betis defeats Sparta Prague. But they’ll have to do it without Jack, who is still recovering from an injury sustained while on international duty, despite playing only 12 minutes of the match against Norway and no other game time during the break.
Ben Davies hasn’t played since the Europa League match against Sparta Prague, but he’ll be back in the squad and is expected to start alongside John Souttar with Connor Goldson suspended. Rangers will have Leon King as a back up with Leon Balogun not named in the squad.
He’ll also be without Nico Raskin, who has been out since the win over Hearts, and Scott Wright, who hasn’t played since the Viaplay Cup semi-final and is questionable.
“We have a few players out because they were not selected in the European squad,” he explained. Raskin and Jack will not be returning anytime soon. Scott Wright is questionable for tomorrow due to a muscle problem.”
