JUST IN: Raptors Veteran had an outstanding game Dominating Rivals On Defense

The Toronto Raptors are 9-10 and sit in tenth place in the Eastern Conference.

That means they have room to improve, and the rest of the season will most likely be challenging.
Even though they aren’t perfect, one of their players has done exceptionally well in 2023-24.

NBA Free Agency Report: Raptors sign OG Anunoby to 4-year, $72 million extension - Raptors HQ

OG Anunoby has been a defensive beast against some of the league’s biggest stars, according to NBA Stats via NBACentral.

He has limited DeMar DeRozan to 3-of-14 shooting and Victor Wembanyama to 4-of-11.

Meanwhile, he has held Anthony Edwards to 1-of-10 shooting and Karl-Anthony Towns to 0-of-3.

Anunoby has limited a number of NBA stars, including Franz Wagner and Devin Booker.

Anunoby has averaged 14.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season.

He has significantly improved his defensive game, and many believe he is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year.
Anunoby has already been named to the NBA All-Defensive team and was the 2022-23 steals champion, demonstrating how tough he is on his opponents.

Anunoby had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block on Wednesday night.

This contributed to the Raptors’ 112-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

However, as previously stated, the Raptors are still not among the best teams in their conference, and they are hoping to make significant moves up the rankings in the coming weeks.

This will necessitate continued dedication from Anunoby and others such as Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Dennis Schroder, and others.

On Friday, the Raptors will face the New York Knicks, followed by the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets.

Will Anunoby continue to dominate the league’s top scorers?
