Over the last year or so, there have been a few names mentioned in the world of NBA trade rumors, as well as a few key Toronto Raptors players. Forwards Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby are the most talked-about names, and they will almost certainly heat up as the trade deadline approaches. Both players were linked to a number of teams during the offseason and even before the NBA trade deadline in 2022-23.
If The Athletic’s Shams Charania is correct, the Raptors will have made official decisions on Siakam, Anunoby, and a slew of other players by this season’s trade deadline. Charania stated on FanDuel’s “Run It Back” show that Raptors president Masai Ujiri will make a decision about the plan close to the trade deadline. According to an NBA insider, 22-year-old forward Scottie Barnes is “the untouchable” and will not be available in trade talks.
The Raptors are in an interesting situation, as they currently have a 9-10 record on the season. Every time they appear to be on the verge of putting together a string of solid wins, they fall back into the losing column. Ujiri is making a number of tough decisions ahead of the trade deadline, which is set for Thursday, February 8, 2024.
