Great Addition: Auburn Tigers have announced the signing of Five-star WR in a club record deal

Cameron Coleman, a five-star wide receiver, announced on social media that he has switched his commitment from Texas A&M to Auburn. Coleman committed to the Aggies in July, but changed his mind due to coaching changes in the program. Jimbo Fisher, the Aggies’ sixth-year coach, was fired in mid-November before being replaced by Duke’s Mike Elko earlier this week.

According to 247Sports, Coleman is the No. 3 receiver and No. 8 overall prospect in the 2024 class. Hugh Freeze, the Tigers’ coach, not only adds a dangerous offensive weapon to his roster, but also earns the pledge of Alabama’s No. 1 prospect.

Three of the top five players in their home state have now committed to the Tigers, all of whom flipped from other SEC schools. Auburn finished 6-6 in Freeze’s first season back in the SEC after previously coaching at Ole Miss from 2012 to 2016.

Coleman has 28 known offers as the NCAA Early Signing Period approaches later in December, according to 247Sports. The three-day period runs from December 20 to 22. Clemson, LSU, Alabama, and Florida State were among the other notable programs interested in Coleman.
