Auburn football has added a significant addition to its 2024 recruiting class with the commitment of 5-star receiver Cam Coleman from Texas A&M.
Coleman, a graduate of Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the third-best wide receiver in the 2024 class and the seventh-best overall player.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 180-pound receiver is the top recruit in Alabama for the 2024 recruiting class. Coleman joins 5-star Perry Thompson and 4-star Bryce Cain as wide receivers committed to Freeze’s program for the 2019 recruiting class, with 4-star athlete Malcolm Simmons expected to play receiver as well.
Coleman and Thompson are Auburn’s two highest-rated recruits. Coleman has surpassed 2010 classmate Michael Dyer to become Auburn’s highest-rated offensive recruit. Previously, Auburn had only one 5-star receiver commit in its history; now, the Tigers have two in the class of 2024.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Auburn’s class is now ranked 11th nationally and fourth in the SEC, and sixth if future SEC members Texas and Oklahoma are included.
