BREAKING NEWS: Browns’ head coach issues a major update on Dorian Thompson-Robinson as Joe Flacco not named starter yet

Dorian Thompson-Robinson of the Cleveland Browns returned to practice on Wednesday, taking the field for the first time since suffering a concussion on Nov. 26. Thompson-Robinson is still in concussion protocol after leaving the 29-12 loss to the Denver Browns in the third quarter. The Browns (7-5) face the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4) at home on Sunday, where they are on a two-game losing streak.

Following his start in last week’s loss to the Rams in Los Angeles, Joe Flacco led the first-team offense in Wednesday’s practice. Flacco, who is 1-11 in his last 12 starts, is the Browns’ fourth starting quarterback this season.

Last week, he was intercepted with Cleveland trailing 20-19 in the fourth quarter, but head coach Kevin Stefanski said Flacco “did a nice job” under the circumstances 12 days after joining the team. Stefanski is keeping the starting spot close to his vest for the time being, saying on Wednesday that “we’ll see how it goes” with Thompson-Robinson returning to the field but not fully cleared.

The Jaguars fell at home to another AFC North backup quarterback, Jake Browning and the Bengals, on Monday, and enter Week 14 with questions about their starting quarterback. Trevor Lawrence missed practice on Wednesday due to a high-ankle sprain.
