BROWNS UPDATES: Top Analyst Reveal the Big Problem For Browns This Season

It doesn’t take a football genius to recognize that the Cleveland Browns have a major quarterback problem.

Similarly, one does not need to be a football expert to understand that struggles at the quarterback position usually translate to poorly executed game plans and losing football.

Despite all of their problems, this Browns team has managed to stay afloat, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be concerned.

Poor quarterback play frequently leads to turnovers, and Kevin Stefanski’s team has been no exception this season.

According to Browns insider Hayden Grove, the team has had 24 turnovers and 16 takeaways.

That is the worst mark in the NFL, and their differential of -8 ranks third in the league, trailing only the 4-9 Washington Commanders and the 2-10 New England Patriots, and is tied with the 6-6 Minnesota Vikings.

Despite the subpar quarterback situation, Jim Schwartz’s defense has done an excellent job of keeping the ship afloat, but they can only do so much.

Having 16 takeaways in 12 games is impressive, but turning the ball over twice per game is like shooting yourself in the foot over and over again.

Stefanski could return to fifth-round rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the future, and while that may not be the best option at this point, neither of the potential QBs on the roster is known for good ball security.

When the big picture is taken into account, that 7-5 record becomes even more impressive.
