POOR MANAGEMENT: Miami top insider reveals a serious growing Rift in Canes locker room over key wide receiver entering transfer portal

A key wide receiver for the University of Miami football team is leaving the school. According to ESPN, wide receiver Colbie Young has entered the transfer portal. Young has 939 yards and ten touchdowns in the last two seasons for the Hurricanes.
Young is the latest member of the Hurricanes offense to depart. Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is also in the portal and has scheduled a weekend visit to Wisconsin. The Hurricanes finished 7-5 in the ACC this season, but struggled down the stretch after starting the season 4-0. Miami did win their final regular-season game, defeating Boston College.

Young has been a key component of the Miami offense in recent years. He saw his output drop toward the end of the 2023 season, catching only 11 balls in the team’s final three games. He finished the season third on the team in receiving yards with 47 receptions for 563 yards. That was an increase in Young’s output since joining the program in 2022.

Young attended Lackawanna Junior College in Pennsylvania to begin his college career. He is listed as 6-5 and 215 pounds, and he is expected to be recruited by several schools at both the power 5 and group of 5 levels. He has two 100-yard receiving games in his career.

Miami is in a bowl game against Rutgers, a former Big East opponent. The two schools will meet in the Pinstripe Bowl on December 28 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
