JUST IN: Bad news for one player, opportunity for another

Hunter Long appears to be out for the rest of the season for the Los Angeles Rams due to a knee injury. As bad as that is, it may give Davis Allen more time to establish himself as a legitimate player. Allen had a few nice plays against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. I’m not going to pretend to know Allen, but Rams fans appear to be excited. Are you one of those followers? If so, what gives you hope or what do you expect to see from Allen? Do you have any reservations about his game?

“It’s unfortunate for him. “He was doing a fantastic job,” McVay said during a press conference via video conference. “He’s been through a lot this year, and I thought he played really well in the first half of that game.” As a result, you despise him for it. But we’re looking forward to him rehabbing and doing well with us going forward.”

Meanwhile, offensive lineman Rob Havenstein is out with a groin strain and is considered day-to-day.

“We’ll see what that looks like,” McVay explained. “He wanted to come back yesterday, but the elements, the weather, and other factors prevented him from doing so.” (Offensive lineman) Joe (Noteboom) did a good job filling in for him, but it’s always nice to have your captain up front.”

According to McVay, wide receiver Tutu Atwell is in the concussion protocol.

“Came in today, was feeling a little bit better, but we’ll go through the necessary steps with that,” McVay said in an interview. “Day at a time and (we’ll) see how that affects his status for the week.”

“After playing one of their toughest games of the season on Sunday in Baltimore, the Los Angeles Rams get a break in Week 15 when they host the Washington Commanders.” Despite the fact that the Commanders had a bye in Week 14, the Rams are heavily favored over Ron Rivera’s team.

The Rams are 6.5-point favorites over the Redskins, according to BetMGM. The over/under is set at 48.5 points, and the line for Los Angeles to win straight-up is -300, which means a $300 bet wins $100.”

“Despite his lack of size and speed, Williams has proven to be one of the most difficult running backs to stop in football.” It’s been an unexpected development, but it’s given the Rams offense a boost every time the ball is passed to Williams.

Williams forced 11 missed tackles against the Ravens on Sunday, according to Pro Football Focus. That’s the most in the NFL this week, which is impressive given the team he faced.

Williams now has 41 missed tackles on rush attempts this season. That ranks fifth among running backs with at least 46 rush attempts, trailing only Christian McCaffrey (53), Travis Etienne Jr. (50), Raheem Mostert (43) and Derrick Henry (42).”
