Following the signing of Shohei Ohtani by the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ronald Acuna Jr. sent a message to the team’s rivals. The Braves recently made two coaching staff decisions that will reduce Snittker’s staff for the 2024 season.

The Braves have assigned an infielder to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The Braves assigned shortstop David Fletcher to the team’s Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers affiliate on Wednesday afternoon. On X, reporter David O’Brien broke the news.

“The #Braves outrighted David Fletcher to Triple-A Gwinnett,” O’Brien said in a tweet. “There is no signal; they fully expect him to be their primary utility infielder.” They just made this move for flexibility, knowing they could do it without losing him to another team, and so on. It’s just a formality.”

Fletcher batted.247 with two home runs and 12 RBI in 89 at-bats for Snittker’s team last season. He appeared in 31 games and had a.628 OPS. Fletcher hit.255 in 216 at-bats the previous season, with two home runs and 17 RBI.

In 2021, he hit.262 with 27 doubles, displaying his power in the batter’s box over the course of the season before becoming a Braves utility player.
