To be honest, that seems a little harsh from Bayless, even if it is coming from a good place.
Prescott has demonstrated that he can compete at the highest level of quarterback competition, as he has been by far the best quarterback in the league over the last two months.
However, judging his season based on whether or not he wins the Super Bowl appears to be a bit of a stretch.
Perhaps judging him by his playoff success and whether he can win a playoff game or get past the San Francisco 49ers this time would be more realistic.
In any case, it’s difficult to imagine a better quarterback option for the Dallas Cowboys in the near future.
