An experienced defensive lineman from an ACC rival has joined the Miami Hurricanes.
Former NC State defensive tackle CJ Clark announced his commitment via the transfer portal on Friday evening.
Clark has 72 tackles, 4 sacks, and 7.5 tackles for loss over the last four seasons, as noted by Hayes Fawcett in the post above.
Clark spent the weekend in Miami after entering the transfer portal on November 30th.
Clark has one more year of eligibility.The Hurricanes desperately needed a player of his caliber in a critical position. Miami’s defensive tackle rotation is thin, and Leonard Taylor was selected in the NFL Draft.
Miami is still hoping to add at least one more defensive tackle via transfer.
Former Middle Tennessee State standout Marley Cook is visiting for the weekend.
Miami is expected to sign Class of 2024 DTs Justin Scott, Artavious Jones, and Daylen Russell on national signing day. The Canes are also expected to sign Armondo Blount in a possible trade with Florida State.
During the 2023 season, CJ Clark started all twelve games for the Wolfpack. On November 4th, he was credited with three tackles and a sack against Miami.
