Rolando McClain Dominating for Cowboys After Retirements

“I’m still’me’ in every way; I laugh (at the skepticism),” McClain said in an exclusive interview with CowboysSI.com about his desire to return to the league at the age of 34. “I’m ready for the NFL right now.” It’s like riding a bike! Football is a way of life. ”I enjoy the game.”
McClain, who hasn’t played in an NFL game since Jan. 3, 2016, is a free agent who can sign with any team.

Are the Dallas Cowboys on that list?

According to a CowboysSI.com source, Dallas is not interested in reuniting with McClain, who was a Dallas roster member in 2016 when he was suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s Program and Policy for Substances of Abuse.
McClain played for the Cowboys in 2014 and 2015, but his contract was terminated in 2019.

McClain, who has been on an intense five-year plan that has included not only physical work but also work with NFL-approved doctors and psychiatrists, told CowboysSI.com that he recalls his time with the Cowboys fondly.

“Man, I loved that locker room,” McClain said.

McClain was selected eighth overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. He had a great start there before his behavior issues derailed him. McClain was arrested three times between December 1, 2011, and April 21, 2013, and announced his retirement before the start of the 2013 season.
McClain, on the other hand, returned from a one-year retirement to join the Cowboys, who won the NFC East in 2014 and their first playoff victory since 2009 with McClain as their play-making middle linebacker.

Is he capable of doing it again? McClain hopes to hear from NFL teams, but it appears that the Dallas Cowboys will not be among them.fo
