The Cleveland Browns have been through a lot this season, but one thing is certain: this team will not give up.
In Berea, injuries continue to mount, but the team has been quick to respond and make adjustments.
They have now promoted S Tanner McCalister and LB Charlie Thomas III from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s must-win game against the Chicago Bears.
According to the Browns’ website, McCalister is an undrafted rookie out of Ohio State who has spent the entire season with the team, making one appearance.
Thomas is an undrafted rookie out of Georgia Tech who has made one appearance off the team’s practice squad thus far.
The Browns can’t afford a setback against Matt Eberflus’ team if they want to make the playoffs.
Winning the division may be out of the question at this point, but they still have a chance to qualify for the AFC Wild Card.
Injuries have derailed Kevin Stefanski’s troops’ once-promising campaign, but the team is still 8 and 5 against all odds.
The team’s next-man-up mentality has been instrumental in completing the task and even pulling off some major upsets along the way.
The Bears, on the other hand, have no reason to compete right now, but they’ve shown that they can be explosive and dangerous, and they’re coming off a huge divisional victory over the Detroit Lions.
