DEAL AGREED: Former South Alabama receiver reportedly transferring to Louisville

Caullin Lacy, a former wide receiver at South Alabama, is reportedly moving to Louisville, according to On3 Sports.

In 2023, Lacy recorded 91 receptions, 1,316 yards, and seven touchdowns in 12 games, which set a program record for the Jaguars. Both his yardage and receiving totals rank sixth nationally.

By far the most well-known player to depart South Alabama via the transfer portal is Lacy, a native of Mobile who attended Faith Academy for his high school football career. With 207 receptions over the course of four seasons, 2,517 yards, and 13 touchdowns, he leads the Jaguars all-time.

With one season of remaining college eligibility, Lacy joins a Louisville school that on Friday also signed transfer receiver Ja’Corey Brooks from Alabama. After losing to Florida State in the ACC title game, the Cardinals are 10-4. On December 27, they will play USC in the Holiday Bowl.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Lacy received a transfer offer from Auburn and also visited Texas A&M and Oregon. He thought about going into the NFL draft as well.
