Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat are both available for Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Miami Heat (15-11) will begin their week against the Minnesota Timberwolves (19-5).
The Miami Heat defeated DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls 118-116 on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Indiana Pacers and the Dallas Mavericks in their most recent games.
Guard Tyler Herro is set to return after suffering an injury against the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in the season. He was averaging 22.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.4 steals prior to the injury. Herro appeared to be on his way to being named an All-Star.
Bam Adebayo, the All-Star center, is also returning to the lineup after recovering from a hip contusion. Adebayo has dealt with this injury several times this season, but he is returning just in time to face Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.
Because of the Timberwolves’ dominant start to the season, the duo’s return is perfect timing.
Herro is arguably Miami’s top scoring option, which will provide Butler with some relief. Butler is looking forward to the return of Herro and Adebayo, despite his strong contributions in their absence.
“Anybody can make that shot, and overall, it’s just really dope to win because wins are super hard to come by in this league,” Butler said after the win over the Bulls. “As we get guys back, I’m hoping that it doesn’t come down to that in the end.”
